William Bruce MacWilliams II

William Bruce MacWilliams II, 88, peacefully passed from this world to the next on April 10, 2024.  He was born on September 8,1935 to William and Geraldine (King).  

He graduated from Penn State with a degree in aeronautical engineering.  After designing air compressors for Rand McNally right out of college, he decided to join his father in the family business.  He managed and eventually owned Mac’s Tire Service until he retired in 1998.  

He was blessed to have married Bonnie Thomas.  They raised three children, Deborah, Karen and Bill during their 64year marriage.  Bruce was an avid pilot and loved nothing more than to fly with his favorite copilot, his dad Mac.  

He was also an active member of the church. He served as a lay leader and taught the men’s Sunday school class for many years.  

Bruce was preceded in death by William (Mac) his father, Geraldine (Gerri) his mother, and Bonnie his wife.  

He is survived by his three children: Deborah, Karen and Bill; three grandchildren: Briana, Brittany and Becca; his great granddaughter Summer; sister Donna Brooke as well as nieces and nephews. 

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Honoring his wishes, services will be private.
