Valeria Sue Thomas

THOMAS – Valeria Sue, 73, Sidman, died April 21, 2026. Born December 20, 1952, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, John E. “Frog” and Reba K. (Gramling) Theys; husband, Timothy G. Thomas, who died January 7, 2006; and brother, Terry.

Survived by son, Travis (Stacey Kring); granddaughters, Makenzie and Felicity; companion, Glenn Katrancha; siblings, Robert, Linda McCormick, Darlene Lamason, and Corey (Tina McCall); in-laws, Kathy Theys, Judith Grattan, and Peggy Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Val graduated from Forest Hills High School, class of 1970 and built a career as a legal secretary. She loved bowling with her teammates, the “Alley Cats.” She found joy in cooking and was always ready to try a new recipe. Whether camping under the open sky or casting a line into quiet waters, she appreciated the simple peace of nature. But above all else, Val’s greatest joy was her family. She gave her time, her care, and her heart freely. And nowhere was that more evident than in the love she had for her grandchildren. We will miss her deeply. But we will remember her always.

A memorial service will be held at South Fork First Evangelical Church at 11 a.m. Monday April 27, 2026, Reverend Randy Landman, presiding. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
