EGGIE – Shirley, 91, Sidman, formerly of Wilmore, passed peacefully August 2, 2023. Born October 2, 1931, in Summerhill, daughter of Albert Sr. and Amelia (Berschneider) Seifert. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Charles A. Eggie, who died August 7, 2000; infant son, Charles; sisters, Zita Seifert, Arzella Kirby, and Lucille Kist; and brothers, Robert, Clement, and Albert Seifert Jr.
Survived by daughters, Cheryl Butler (Dennis), Teresa Macidym (Walter), Victoria Sickles (George), and Suzanne Ramus (Edward); son, Michael Eggie; grandchildren, Kristy Weese (Aaron), Stacey Grieff (Jeremy), Greg Butler (Aimee), Kelli Macidym (Josh Koscho), Travis Macidym (Andrea), Aimee Cummings (Joseph), Matt Ramus (Ashley), Gabrielle Dell (Kevin), Jacob Eggie, and Jonathan Eggie; great grandchildren, Noah and Abegail Weese; Douglas and Kaitlyn Cummings; Azlyn, Carter, and Layken Ramus; Alexander Koscho; and Aria and Zoey Macidym; great great grandson, Waylon Noah Weese; sisters, Margaret Ludwig and Regina Gaumer; and brother-in-law, Paul Eggie (Pat).
Shirley was a devout Catholic who sought strength and guidance through praying the Rosary. Member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wilmore; where she sang in the choir and enjoyed fellowship with friends in the St. Anne’s Society and Serra Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was known for her beautiful crochet work. Mom was truly happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. Her kind and caring spirit leaves a legacy of joy and gratitude in the hearts of all who loved her.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
Committal, St. Batholomew Catholic Cemetery.
