Rita C. Forgas

FORGAS – Rita C., 94, Sidman, native of Portage, went to be with the Lord April 12, 2023. Born October 1, 1928, daughter of James C. and Jane (Brown) Beiter. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Donald R. Forgas Sr., who died November 9, 2015; son, James Forgas; sister, Theresa Kensinger; and brothers, James, George, Francis, John, and Thomas Beiter.

Survived by daughter, Evelyn L. McAney; sons, Raymond J. (Mary Anne) Forgas Sr.; Robert L. Forgas; and Donald R. (Maria) Forgas Jr.; sisters, Helen Boyer and Marie Frankhauser; grandchildren, Derek (Christy) Forgas, Stacey Forgas, Rita Saly, Raymond Forgas Jr., Dannet Calpin, Donald Forgas; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Saly, Kira Calpin, Marco Sierra and Precious Sierra.

Rita was very active in the parish of St. Stephen's in Cambria City. She taught CCD classes and participated in many of the church's activities. In addition, Rita was an active member of the Lion's Club. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and doing complicated puzzles.

Honoring her wishes, services will be private.
