Philip Harry Cox

Cox – Philip Harry, 94, Lewis Run, PA, passed away October 19, 2023 at Olean General Hospital, NY. Born June 6, 1929 in Akron, Ohio, son of Harry J. and Dora E. (Skelly) Cox. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Roberta Lee, who passed away February 11, 2023; daughter, Phyllis M. Cox; and sister, Mary Ellen Cox.

Survived by children, John Cox (Linda), Margaret Wolfe (Bob), James Cox (Donna), and Charlotte Dunn (Douglas); grandchildren, Jesse Cox and Melissa Cox; Jennifer Rigiel, Patrick Rigiel, and Steven Rigiel; Hannah Dunn, Lee Dunn, and Philip Dunn; great grandchildren, Jordan DeFilippo, Dakota DeFilippo, and Kassidy DeFilippo; Oliver Rigiel, Abbie Rigiel, Max Rigiel, and Rylee (Rigiel); and Shayna Cox; and great great grandson, Ethan Paul Anderson.

Philip was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from General Motors where he was a Machine Repairman. Phillip also enjoyed making and working on clocks.

Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11 AM Saturday at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wilmore, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
