Paul E. Graffius Jr.

GRAFFIUS – Paul E. Jr. “Bud,” 58, Mineral Point, died August 6, 2026. Born September 4, 1967, in Colver.

Survived by parents, Paul E. Sr. and Barbara (Mickey) Graffius; brothers, Jason H. Graffius (Virginia Roles); and Bert M. Graffius (Danielle Berkebile); former wife, Cindy Kalfas: and nieces and nephews, Brittany L. Sloan (Robert Paul III), Courtney L. Chapa, Tiffany J. Graffius, Jason H. Graffius Jr. (Kylee Lybarger), Shyanna M. Graffius, and Wyatt M. Graffius.

Bud was one of the strongest people we knew, both in body and spirit. When doctors said he might never walk, he refused to let those words define him and faced every challenge with determination. He shared countless adventures with his brothers, cousins, and many lifelong friends. An avid hunter for most of his life, Bud found his greatest joy in the woods alongside his father, brothers, nieces, and nephews. He also had a lifelong love of anything with wheels; cars, trucks, bikes, just about anything that could be driven. One of his favorite pastimes was burning tires in front of Mum's house, often with his brothers, friends, and even Mum joining in on the fun! Known affectionately as "Bud," "Uncle Buck," and "Bubba," he was deeply loved by his family. He cherished each of his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children and delighted in spending time with his great-nieces and great-nephew. Whether making them laugh with his humor or occasionally bringing a few tears with his playful teasing, Bud's love for them was unmistakable. Despite the physical pain and health challenges he endured, Bud never let his ailments diminish his joy. His unwavering faith sustained him and he remained a devoted child of God. His strength, faith, laughter, and unconditional love will be remembered always by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will host a celebration of life gathering starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday August 11, 2026, at St. Michael Sportman Club.
