SMITH – Patricia J. “Pattie” (Criste), 62, New Germany, died Nov. 17, 2015, at home. Born Feb. 15, 1953, in Munster Township, daughter of Charles and Emma (Dumm) Criste. Preceded in death by parents. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survived by loving husband, Linus Smith, whom she married June 14 1974; children, Tara, wife of Matt Hillegass, Oxford, Pa.; Chad, married to Charlene (Wirfel), Mount Joy, Pa.; and Tina, wife of Craig Pablic, Ebensburg; grandchildren, Aidan and Liam Hillegass and Ava and Brody Pablic; and grandson Smith, due to arrive in January 2016. Sister of William Criste (Patty Knopp), Betty Hines (Gene, deceased), Ray Criste, John Criste, Mary Goss (Jim), Martha Criste and Charlotte Muldoon (Michael, deceased). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was a passionate supporter of the St. Francis of Assisi (Johnstown) Gabriel Project. Member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, by Father Leon Hont, OSB.
