Pamela A. Valko

VALKO – Pamela Annette, 79, South Fork, died May 3, 2026. Born March 6, 1947, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Clark B. “Dick” and Helen E. (Wicks) Lydic; and sisters, Marcia Benden and Marilyn Hooker.

Survived by husband of 59 years, William Valko Sr., whom she married March 11, 1967; sons, William Jr.; Matthew, married to Lisa (Matlin); and Joshua, married to Jessica (Kardos); and daughters, Carrie, wife of Kevin Edmondson; and Christi, wife of Ryan Sivec; brother, Richard, married to Janice (Peel); sister, Elyse, wife of Thomas Brummert; and her beloved grandchildren, Brenden (Alexis), Kelsy, Joslyn, Nathan, Austin, Isaac, Bazel, Gracie, Kevin, Colin, Layne, and Trinity (Jacob); and great grandson, Gio.

Pam was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1965. She managed the accounting for the family store, Valko’s AG Store; and in quieter moments, found joy in crocheting and reading. She had a special place in her heart for cats, especially Snubby, who was a constant companion. Nothing brought Pam more joy than her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished watching them grow and took pride in the people they were becoming. Above all, she was a giving person. She gave her time, her energy, her love and in a final, profound act of generosity, she chose to donate her body to science, continuing to help others even after her passing. May we honor Mom by living as she did, with kindness, generosity, and an open heart.
