Gary was a 1964 graduate of Triangle Area High School and a member of South Fork First Evangelical Church. He retired as a Postmaster from the USPS, South Fork. As a coach for the Forest Hills Girls Varsity Basketball and Softball teams, and the Boys Junior Varsity Baseball team, Gary recognized that sports are a platform for sharing life lessons and challenging athletes to be their best. As an athlete, Gary was a standout in track and field, particularly the 1-mile, but what truly set him apart was his love of pitching. Gary’s arm was legendary — having pitched in various leagues for nearly 50 years. Whether you knew him as a coach, mentor, competitor, or friend, he taught us how to balance being competitive with kindness, driven with generosity, and determined with humility
