Melodi Lyn Madison

MADISON – Melodi Lyn (Giles), 71, Summerhill, passed away on July 20, 2025. Born June 6, 1954, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Melvin and Betty Giles and in-laws, Francis and Marian Madison.

Survived by Ronald, loving and devoted husband of 46 years and beloved daughter Kelly. Also survived by brother Timothy (Betty) Giles, sisters Kimberly (James) Lashinsky, Rebecca (James) Ross, Jill (David) Deibert and in-laws Theresa (Michael) Kirchner, Mary Ann Adams, Thomas (Deborah) Madison, Gary (Tina) Madison, Jeffrey (Cathy) Madison, Brian (Christine) Madison, Gregory (Laurie) Madison along with numerous nieces and nephews. Melodi worked at MetLife for 10 years before staying at home to raise her daughter. She then worked at Forest Hills Elementary School for 26 years as a pre-k aide and also in the nurse’s office. Melodi referred to herself as the ice pack and band-aid lady and always enjoyed caring for and comforting the kids. She enjoyed vacations with her family and many shopping trips with her daughter Kelly who was the light of her life. The close bond that she shared with her husband and daughter will never be broken. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife and mother who always put her family ahead of herself. She will be greatly missed by all.
