MADDEN – Mary Louise (Dimond), 80, New Cumberland, formerly of South Fork, died April 29, 2022. Born May 3, 1941, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles O. Jr. and Louise (Weston) Dimond.

Survived by daughters, Michele Madden (Guil), London, United Kingdom; and Kelly Madden, East Greenwich, Rhode Island; son, Scott Madden (Jen), Bethesda, Maryland; grandchildren, West, Harper, Cabot, Dylan, Aidan, and Kieran; siblings, Charles (Susan) Dimond, Barbara (Jerry) Baum, Suzanne Bross; Kristi Maher, and Jeffrey (Shari) Dimond; companion of over 18 years, Tom Connelly, New Cumberland; and former husband, Michael Madden, Florida.

Mary Lou graduated from South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1959 and attended Kent State University. She had an infectious zest for life and thrived on connecting with others, a trait that earned her countless treasured friends. She traveled and worked all over the world, and lived in many places across the country, always putting down roots and making an impact. She cherished holidays and visits with family, always with her dog by her side. Her keen eye for fashion, color, décor and design was evident in every aspect of her life and led to several different work settings, always with an emphasis on relationships. She loved working, and did so full time until February, 2022. Mary Lou leaves a rich legacy of loyalty, vibrancy, optimism, generosity, and the ability to make people feel special.

A memorial service will be held in the summer in Newport, Rhode Island.
