GROW – Mark Duane, 47, South Fork, passed away March 5, 2022; from his struggle with cancer. Born May 16, 1974, son of Donald M. and Cheryl L. (Barefoot) Grow.
Survived by parents; children, Eric, Karli, Shane, and Jackson; granddaughter, Knala; sisters, Sherry L., wife of Michael Hautz; and Dawnetta E., wife of Keith Hoyer; aunt, Barbara Slonac, who was very special to him; and numerous other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mark was a 1992 graduate of Forest Hills High School and loved the game of football. He was proud and honored to have been a part of the Forest Hills Football team in both his Junior and Senior high school years. He loved every moment on and off the field with his teammates. Mark drove truck with his dad for Dunlo and Perfetti Trucking until a severe truck accident in 2000. He worked most of his life at Fox’s Pizza Den in Sidman, Kernville, and Ebensburg. Mark truly appreciated all the prayers, the cards, every text, every visit, the gifts of money, and special items given to help with his care. He would want to thank his doctors, chemo nurses, and at home care aides for their kindness and support.
Honoring his request there will be no viewing.
Family and friends will gather from noon until committal service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; the Reverend Thomas Moore presiding.
He will be laid to rest alongside family at Mount Hope Cemetery.
