Margaret J. "Bubba" Smay

SMAY – Margaret J. "Bubba", 89, Sidman, passed away November 10, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born November 12, 1931, in Ehrenfeld, daughter of Harry and Eva (Rose) Myers. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Dean C. Smay, who died June 2, 2012; granddaughter, Stacy M. Smay; sister, Betty Susko; and brothers, Chuck, Lester “Cuddy”, Harry “Blair”, Don, Ron, Paul, and Bob Myers.
Survived by children, Terry, married to Jacquelyn (Jones), Hogansville, Georgia; Randy, married to Sherri (Franchic), Sidman; Sandra Updegraff, South Fork; Eva, wife of George Wirick, Sidman; Harry Smay, Sidman; and Dave, married to Carm Campagna, Mineral Point; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; sister, Diane Cummings, Summerhill; and brother, Devon “Arkie” Myers. Margaret attended Lake Union Evangelical Methodist Church. She was an avid bingo and card player and enjoyed trips to Casinos. Her collection of John Wayne memorabilia attested to her dedication as his #1 fan.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, Pastor Jon Estes, presiding. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
