HINDERLITER – Lillian M., 91, formerly of South Fork, died March 16, 2022, at Maple Winds Care Center. Born September 14, 1930, in Sidman, the last surviving child of Evan and Mary (Opalecky) Yakicic. Preceded in death by parents; and siblings, George, Sylvia Barr, Agnes Gelles, Anna Jahoda, Betty Vasas, Dorothy Wingard, Edward, Marion LaPointe, Robert, and James.
Survived by daughter, Patricia, wife of Dr. Chris Chiantella, Leesburg, Virginia; sons, Brian, married to Evelyn (Bushwack), Ehrenfeld; and Robert, married to Robin (Belanger), Reddington Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Nathan (Laura), Marissa, Brandon (Kaitlyn), Nicholas (Megan), Daniel (Zac), Kyle, Luke, and Zack; and five great grandchildren.
Lillian was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the Forest Hills Senior Center and stopping by the South Fork News for scratch off lottery tickets and to chat with neighbors. Her kind and caring spirit leaves a legacy of joy and gratitude in the hearts of all who loved her.
A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
