Lester Wm. "Bill" Schlosser

SCHLOSSER – Lester Wm. “Bill,” 82, Sidman, died April 14, 2024. Born September 27, 1941, in Johnstown, son of Oliver W. and Mary M. (Furlong) Schlosser. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Agnes Peifer; and Joanne, Carolanne, Ruth, Jane, and Mary Schlosser; and brothers, Lawrence, Paul, Eugene, and Raymond Schlosser. 

Survived by loving wife, Joyce (Stormer) Schlosser; son, Lester Wm. Jr. “Bill” (Julie Chilcot); daughters, Shana (Joshua Beyer); and Susan (David Krug Jr.); grandchildren, Aubrey, Wyatt, Christopher, and Gracelynn; and sister, Ethel Schlosser; and brother, Russell Schlosser. 

Bill was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for Pepsi and was a groundskeeper for Sunnehanna County Club. He liked to tend to his farm, tinker around in his garage, and enjoyed visiting neighboring farms on his golf cart to lend a hand or share some wisdom. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Daryl Penrod presiding. 

Interment, Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sidman.
