RUFFING – Lester J., 76, Portage, went to be with the Lord November 14, 2020 at Magee Hospital.
Preceded in death by parents, Lester J. “Popeye” and Isabelle A. (Taylor) Ruffing; brothers, Harry and Blaine; infant sister, Carol; and sisters, Connie Coutts and Deborah Smith.
Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Edith M. (Moel) Ruffing, whom he married December 7, 1963; daughters, Annette, married to John Maness, Wickliffe, Ohio; Andrea “Angie,” wife of John Flach, Euclid, Ohio; son, John “Lenny” Ruffing, Mentor, Ohio; cherished grandchildren, Alex, Jessica, Shelbie, Kelsie, Michael and Patrick, great-grandchildren Brayden, Huxley, Jackson, Stella, and Liah; sister, Patricia Wilson, South Fork; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends.
Lester was a member of St. Michael United Methodist Church and retired from General Motors after 28 years of service.
Honoring his wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be scheduled at later date.
