McCONEGHY – Kenneth E., 79, South Fork, passed peacefully April 20, 2021 at Windber Hospice. Born May 25, 1941, in Ehrenfeld son of Patrick E. and June Dorothy (Penrod) McConeghy. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Loretta P. (Gaffney) McConeghy, who died August 18, 2010; and daughter, June Helen Pepe.
Survived by daughter, Michelle Price, New Jersey; brother, Ron McConeghy, Florida; sisters, Raye Clifford, South Fork; and Kimberly Trybus, Maryland; and special nephew, Frank Clifford, married to Heather (Fiffick), and their two sons, South Fork.
Ken was a US Army Veteran and a retired driver for Royal Trucking, New Jersey. He always made time for others, had an honest nature, and a rare ability as a compassionate listener. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Steelers, Pirates (even in the rough years, which really are a lot), and the Penguins.
Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. A private graveside service will be held at South Fork Cemetery Saturday April 24, 2021.
Military rites by St. Michael American Legion post 551.
The family is especially grateful to all his aides, caregivers, and hospice workers for the loving care they shared.
