John "Tim" Makins

MAKINS – John Timothy “Tim,” 59, South Fork, died April 12, 2024. Born October 6, 1964, in Johnstown; son of John Yale Makins and Myrtle P. Miller. Preceded in death by father; brother, Jeffrey Scott Makins, sister, Marianne Makins; and stepfather, David Makins.

Survived by mother; fiancé, Christine Popish; siblings, Jacqueline Myers; Bethany (Ray Hoffman); Dave Makins (Sandy); Don Makins (Fran); and Lori Makins; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Tim loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was a talented craftsman, who could fix almost anything. His hands were never idle, always working on a project or tinkering with something. The space he crafted in our hearts will forever remain a treasure.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
