John G. Leppado

LEPPADO – John G. “Yunch,” 87, South Fork, died March 19, 2023. Born February 29, 1936, in Windber, son of the late John and Mary (Horvath) Leppado.

Survived by wife of 60 years, Sheila J. (Krisko) Leppado; son, John J. wife of Lisa (Plummer), Linthicum, Maryland; and daughter, Leslie, wife of Brian Robinson, Hampton, New Hampshire; and beloved grandchildren, Carter Robinson and Hannah Leppado.

Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael. Yunch retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a former member of the Windber Slovak Club and their duck pin bowling league. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. After retiring, he enjoyed driving cars part time for Hollern & Sons.

Friends will be received at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass, which will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monsignor David A. Lockard, Celebrant.
