LOCHER – Joanne Louise, 72, South Fork, formerly of East Conemaugh, passed away peacefully at home March 20, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 28, 1949 in Johnstown, daughter of James E. and Martha C. (Rodkey) Locher. Preceded in death by parents; and an infant son.
Survived by children, Jamey Locher, Windber; Dale (Jackie) Locher, Ferndale; and Jennifer, married to Chad Wood; brother, James, married to Linda (Gossard), Lore City, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler and Jaden Locher; Matt Teplica and Brandin Locher; and Jordan, Alexis, and Kyle Miller; and grand goddaughter, Serenity Lorditch.
Member of Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork; and also a member of The Lighthouse - Morning Star Ministries, Cherry Tree. Joanne was a beloved Mother and had an unshakeable faith in God, and served Him faithfully. She was known as the most loving Granny to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a talented seamstress and worked for Bestform. She was an avid believer in Bigfoot and enjoyed watching documentaries about the search for him. Most of all, Joanne enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren (biological and chosen). She will be missed but will live in our hearts forever.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 22 at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, Pastors Kenneth and Wilda Brown presiding.
Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
