Jean L. Martin

MARTIN – Jean L., 82, South Fork, died September 15, 2024. Born April 30, 1942, in South Fork. 

Preceded in death by parents; James M. and Sannie T. (Oswalt) Noon; husband, James C. Martin, who died May 20, 2013; daughter, Donna Thornton; sister, Thelma Robinson; brother, Marvin Noon; and sons-in-law, Frank Mundok and Nick Jorich.

Survived by children, Diana Mundok; James, married to Sally (Lermineau); LeeAnn, wife of Brian Owens; Jill Jorich; Craig; and Jason, married to Mary Ann (Jenkins); ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Robinson; sisters-in-law, Diana (Hoffman) Noon, Jennie (Martin) Walukas; and Sarah (Martin) West; and son-in-law, Scott Thornton.

Jean was a member of South Fork First Evangelical Church. She loved family trips to Lake Raystown, enjoyed word puzzles, and her baked goods were always made with care and generosity. Her beautiful crochet work—blankets, scarves, and other handmade gifts—will always be treasured keepsake for those fortunate enough to have them.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Randy Landman, presiding. Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
