Janice S. Gressick

GRESSICK – Janice S., 73, Cresson, went to be with her Lord, August 26, 2023, at home, surrounded by family. Born December 18, 1949, in South Fork; daughter of Joseph and Hilda (Penrod) Burkett. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Victor Gressick, who died February 23, 2017; sisters, Sandra Burkett and Ronda Gramling; and brothers, Frederick and William Burkett.

Survived by daughter, Kara (Gareth); sons, Ross (Brent); and Todd (Meghan); beloved grandchild, Rhett; sisters, Lois Gockley (William); and Linda Quashnie (Ray); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 1968. She was a very devoted and active member of Grace Bible Church and a servant leader of their ministries, and in other capacities as a gifted and loving member of the laity. Mom was happiest when she saw her children reach their accomplishments and experience joy in their lives. She enjoyed travel, tending to her flowers, exploring nature by bike or kayak; and creating beautifully hand-crafted cards for loved ones.

Visitation will be held at Grace Bible Church, 164 Laurel Lane, Hollidaysburg; from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday September 1, 2023 and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday September 2, 2023; Pastor Lou Hileman, presiding.

Interment at South Fork Cemetery will be private.
