Janet M. Kick

KICK – Janet M., 70, Wilmore, died November 21, 2024, surrounded by loving family. Born June 16, 1954, in Windber; daughter of Stanely Wm. “Stush” and Mary Elizabeth (Campitell) Sklodowski. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Stanley Wm. “Bill” Sklodowski.

Survived by husband of 48 years, James R. Kick; children, Denise, wife of Rob Munro; James, married to Pamela (Keefe); and Karen, wife of Jason Cieslo; grandchildren, Ian and Patrick Munro; and Blake Cieslo; sister, Adeline “Cookie,” widow of Fred Gray; sister-in-law, Mary Jane (Swelfer) Sklodowski, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Janet was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and their St. Anne’s Society. She lived her faith through acts of kindness and taught us what it means to love unconditionally. She was known for her beautiful hand-crafted gifts. She loved sharing stories and laughter with her sisters, being surrounded by family, and especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant.
