Janet A. "Cookie" Hutzell

HUTZELL – Janet A. “Cookie,” 79, South Fork, died May 17, 2025. Born January 23, 1946, in Croyle Towhship, the last surviving child of Richard Sr. and Margaret (Smith) Holdsworth. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Zane E. Hutzell, who died July 29, 2023; sisters, Catherine and Mary Ellen Holdsworth, Ellen McVay, Catherine Reeves, Hannah Hershberger, and Margaret “Honis” Bopp, and brothers, Archie, Robert, Richard Jr., and John.

Survived by sisters-in-law, Lois Holdsworth, Shirley Moore, Sally Johnson, and Sunday Dolan; numerous nieces and nephews, and her Shih Tzu, Honeybun.

A graduate of Triangle Area High School, Class of 1966, and a member of South Fork First Evangelical Church. Cookie was known for her beautiful handmade crafts. She loved traveling and discovering new places with her husband, and she enjoyed sharing stories by the campfire on cool, starry nights.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
