BOX – Janet M. 75, South Fork, went to be with the Lord May 17, 2025. Born August 18, 1949, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Glee and Barbara (Baer) Thomas.
Survived by husband, Kenneth E. Box, whom she married November 22, 1969; daughters, Colleen, wife of Tom Buck; Kellie, wife of James Mangus III; Michelle, wife of Jim Brant; and Miranda, engaged to Daniel Thomas; grandchildren, Brooke, wife of Sean Weidner; Tyler Mangus; James Mangus IV; Madison, wife of David Wiles; Jessica Farquhar, engaged to Brandon Parks; and Dalton Brant; great grandchildren, Daxter and Jack Parks, Quinn Weidner; baby Wiles on the way; and sister, Glea, wife of Dan Shilcosky.
Janet graduated from Forest Hills High School and was a devoted member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she served as custodian for many years. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren—they were her heart and soul, her pride and joy. Family meant everything to Janet, and her generous spirit extended beyond her own children as she helped raise members of her extended family with love and care. She found peace in the simple things, especially quiet morning strolls and evening walks at sunset.
