GVOZDICH – Helen “Beba”, 91, Johnstown, longtime resident of Warren, Michigan, died October 7, 2026, at Richland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 22, 1935, in Johnstown, daughter of Stanko and Amelia “Mila” (Bastaja) Gvozdich. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Angeline Giesey; brothers, Eli, George Sr., and Douglas Sr.; and nephews, Dennis Giesey and Douglas Gvozdich, Jr.
Survived by sister, Diana, wife of Bernard Smith; and three generations of nieces and nephews.
Helen was a graduate of Johnstown High School Class of 1953. She moved to Michigan, and worked at CEC Controls in Warren, Michigan. After her retirement, she returned home to be near the people and community she loved. She was a member of Christ the Savior Orthodox Cathedral. She loved playing bingo and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Friends will be received at the church from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the Savior Orthodox Cathedral, Johnstown; the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Robert Buczak, celebrant.
