Evelyn C. "Lucki" Reed

REED – Evelyn C. “Lucki”, 84, Washington, PA, formerly of South Fork, passed away on June 22, 2024 at Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare. Born January 6, 1940 in Windber, daughter of Howard G. and Evelyn A. (Schaffer) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Ronald J. Reed; son, Gary “Scott” Kee; sisters, Phoebe Gordon, Romayne Yeager, Barbara Kaufman, Dorothy Emerick, Joan Skinner; brothers, Howard M. “Buzz”, Hershell “Gene”, Robert S. “Sam”, Denver L., James C., and Clarence “Pete”.

Survived by daughter, Stephanie Kee married to Ronald Snedden; grandchildren, Derek Partsch (Bethany Peracchino), Brittany Palmer (Patrick), Christopher Kee (Valarie Jasper), Elisabeth Kee (Jonas Leveque), Jonathan Kee; great grandson, Paxton Palmer; great granddaughter, Carsyn Palmer expected in July; sister, Sandra Stigers; numereous nieces and nephews; special friends, Lorrie Burkhart and Colleen Brutvan.

Lucki was a 1958 graduate of Adams-Summerhill High School. She retired in 1995 as a Claims Examiner at the Federal Black Lung Office. Following her retirement, she was a companion to her sisters in need, then returned to work as a Data Entry Specialist for MetLife until she moved to Washington in 2008. Lucki then volunteered from 2012-2020 at the Washington Hospital. She fiercely loved her family, trips to the casino with her friends, Penn State football, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Friends will be received from 3 – 7 PM Friday and from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, Rev. John Ciampa, officiating.
