Graduate of Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech. Doug was a member of the IBEW and had 20 years of service with Norfolk Southern Railroad. Everybody loved Doug. He was always the life of the party. Always joking around and laughing. He made friends very easily, no matter where he was. He loved going into the woods with his son to shoot their guns. But his favorite thing was being with his family and camping along the Juniata River in Newton Hamilton, Pennsylvania, where he would spend most of his Summers. Doug will be truly missed, so open a cold beer and give him a toast.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; the Reverend Joseph Stains presiding.
The family would like to thank Doug’s work friends and the staff at Conemaugh Hospital and Hospice for their kindness and support.
