Douglas Gvozdich Jr.

GVOZDICH – Douglas Jr., 57, St. Michael, died January 15, 2026. Born September 4, 1968, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Douglas Sr. and Julia Ann (Mellik) Gvozdich; infant sister, Darlene; in-laws, Patrick and Roseanne Nolan; and nephews, Robert Wingard and Timothy Stopko.

Survived by loving wife of 26 years, Patrica R. (Nolan) Gvozdich, whom he married March 5, 1999; beloved silver lab, Lola; sisters, Paula Mellik and Denise Giffin (Jeffrey); nieces and nephews, Haley Giffin, Melissa Yost (Dave), Ryan Yost (Sabrina), Sheri Peck, Brittany Madey (Walt), James Yost, and Marina Howell; aunts and uncles, Diane Smith (Bernie), Helen Gvozdich, and Alice Moore (Bob); in-laws, Vicki Nolan (Jeff), Julie Smith (Bill), and Susan Howell (Michael); and several great nieces and nephews and their families.

Doug was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 1986 and worked at C & C Smith Lumber Company for more than 30 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley, camping, and target shooting. Doug will be remembered forever by all who loved him. He taught us what it means to ride free, to work hard, and to love deeply.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Randy Landman, presiding.
