Dolores J. Yanzetich

December 1, 1931 — May 8, 2025

YANZETICH – Dolores Jean “Dee”, 93, Sidman, passed away May 8, 2025. She was the eighth child of Vasil and Julia (Dribnak) Selepak, born December 1, 1931 in Beaverdale. As the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by parents, siblings, Anna and John, both in infancy, Marie (Edward) Gresko, Michael (Dorothy) Selepak, Andrew (Mary) Selepak, Joseph Selepak, and Agnes (Joe) Fedoras; husband, Stephen Sr.; son, Stephen Jr.; nephews, Bob and Eddie Gresko; niece, Dianne Fedoras Robbins.

Survived by her loving, devoted son, Evan Joseph. His compassion and kindness as her caregiver for these many years was beyond extraordinary. EJ served as her fierce protector and advocate. Also surviving are her niece and Godchild, Susan, the daughter she never had, and her grandson, Stephen III (Vanessa); great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Marie and Logan Matthew; Godchild, Eva Marie Seftic; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Dolores attended school and graduated from Beaverdale High School, class of 1949. After graduation she worked as a clerk at John Rok’s grocery store until she married Steve, the love of her life, after an eight-year courtship in 1956. An avid reader from the days of childhood, she loved books. As a wonderful homemaker, great cook, and baker, many guests enjoyed meals at her table with hospitality to match. She liked Steeler football, women’s college softball, figure skating, soap operas, cats, Jeopardy, old tv westerns, sitting on the front porch with family and friends, watching hummingbirds, the bunnies, and so much more. She was a very sweet, kind, loving, devoted wife and mother, who loved life and got along with everyone. As the last of her generation she will be greatly missed, loved, and cherished forever.

On behalf of Dolores, her family thanks Select Specialty Hospital Staff for their excellent care and compassion. Also, our heartfelt thanks to the many others who have helped in so many ways, your kind words and deeds are greatly appreciated.
