Dianne L. (Sikorski) Drobnak

DROBNAK – Dianne L., 73, New Germany, died April 7, 2024. Born April 25, 1950, in Ehrenfeld, daughter of Bernard and Emma (Flenner) Sikorski. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Peter Drobnak, who died November 9, 2019; brothers, James Sikorski and Russell Edwards; sister-in-law, Joyce Edwards; and niece, Monique Drobnak. 

Survived by brothers, Bernard Sikorski (Bernadette) and Donald Sikorski (Chris); sister-in-law, Joanne Drobnak; nieces and nephews, Daniel, Eric, Andrea, James, Laurie, Katrina, Dawn, and Kevin; and numerous great nieces and nephews. 

Dianne was a graduate of Forest Hills High School; class of 1968 and a US Navy veteran having served from 1974 to 1976. From her early days at Conemaugh Valley Memorial School of Nursing to her time at the Naval Women Officers School in Newport, Rhode Island, she showed a commitment to learning and growth. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to graduate from the University of Maryland and further her studies with an MBA and a master’s in health administration from Georgia University. Dianne valued her professional career. She approached her work at Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and the VA hospital in Boston with dedication, integrity, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Community Arts Center of Cambria County. In addition to her professional and community endeavors, Dianne had a passion for gardening. Her green thumb was a reflection of her nurturing spirit and her love for nature.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.

Committal, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown. 

Military graveside service by St. Michael American Legion Post 551.
