Carla A. Smith

SMITH – Carla, 62, New Germany, died December 19, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born July 9, 1961, in Spangler, daughter of Bernard C. and Virginia A. (Krug) Strohmier. Preceded in death by father, Bernard C. Strohmier; son, Charles; and granddaughter, Katriel.

Survived by mother; husband, Barry Smith, whom she married September 23, 1989; children, Grace (Robert Smithbauer), Price Smith (Kerissa Hoke), Sara (Truster Shade), Emma (Eddy Valdes), Mable (James Murray), and Benno Smith; grandchildren, Autumn, Christian, Summer, Sarena, Dustin, Delilah, Sophia, Casey, and Storm; and brothers, Kevin and Cory.

Carla was a devout Catholic and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany. She was a devoted wife, a loving daughter and mother, and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. Her kind and selfless spirit leaves a legacy of joy and gratitude in the hearts of all who loved her.
