GILES – Betty Ann (Lehman), 92, Sidman, passed away on December 4, 2023. Born February 18, 1931 in Sidman, daughter of Harry and Mabel (Wingard) Lehman. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 70 years, Melvin R. Giles; and siblings, Franklin, Ethel, Harry Jr., Beatrice and Mary.
Survived by children, Timothy (Elizabeth) Giles, Kimberly (James) Lashinsky, Melodi (Ronald) Madison, Rebecca (James) Ross, and Jill (David) Deibert; grandchildren, Samuel (Liane) Giles LeBlanc, Jake Giles, Daniel (Krystalin) Giles-Bullicer, Benjamin (Vanessa) Giles, Amy (Joseph) Tokarsky, Scott (Kelly) Lashinsky, Kelly Madison, Kevin (Rebecca) Ross, Megan (RJ) Luken, and Lynsie and Sarah Deibert; great-grandchildren, Luci and Denis Giles LeBlanc, Toby, Colson, Logan and Eli Tokarsky, Addison, Brielle and Dane Lashinsky and Isabella and Runa Giles.
Betty dedicated her life to being a wife and mother and always put everyone else first. She and her husband spent 25 winters together in the Florida Keys. She was a strong woman who had a great sense of humor and didn’t mince her words. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special. Her home was a busy place where everyone always felt welcome and wanted to stop by. She loved to go shopping and out to eat. She will be greatly missed by everyone……including Boscov’s.
The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their excellent care including Jenna and Stacey and the caring staff of St. Jude’s Haven for all their kindness. A special thank you to our angel, Lee Lee for her support and compassion.
Honoring her request, there will be no visitation.
