Bernard V. Grattan

GRATTAN – Bernard V., 80, Johnstown, passed away February 26, 2024. Born February 14, 1944, in Johnstown. Son of Bernard T. and Mary Louise (O’Neill) Grattan. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, David T. Grattan. 

Survived by sister, Margaret M. Roddy (Joseph); uncle, Thomas O’Neill; niece, Veronica Neubaum (Eric); nephew, Joseph Roddy; great niece, Aurora; and great nephews, William and Henry. 

Bernard was a former priest with the Altoona – Johnstown Roman Catholic Diocese. He had a deep love for the soulful melodies and infectious rhythms of Motown music, a quick wit, and a knack for pulling off practical jokes. 

A private visitation and service were held at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Committal, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
