Barry J. Motchenbaugh

MOTCHENBAUGH – Barry J. “Mutch,” 66, St. Michael, died October 12, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born October 29, 1955, in Johnstown, son of Hilary B. and Anna Jean (Bimle) Motchenbaugh. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Wayne and Thomas; and niece, Stephanie Flynn.

Survived by daughter, Tara McIntyre, New Germany; son, Brett, Ebensburg; grandchildren, Logan, Parker, Cory, and Lita; sister, Twila, wife of Paul Flynn, New Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barry was a graduate of Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech, class of 1973. He was a talented woodworker and carpenter; his years of experience could easily be seen in his perfect finish work. He spent the past 20 years working in the wood shop at the Long Barn II, St. Michael. Member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany; charter member of the Sons of the American Legion, St. Michael; and member of the GBU, District 291, Summerhill. He loved his grandchildren, his loud music, and a cold Genesee.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant.

Committal, St. Marys Cemetery.
