POTTER – Albert M. Jr. “Bud,” 63, Mineral Point, died January 3, 2026. Born January 30, 1962, in Johnstown, son of Albert M. “AJ” Sr. and Nancy Lee (McClellan) Potter. Preceded in death by mother; infant granddaughter, Gabriella Hope Potter; and father-in-law, Merle Penrod.
Survived by father; wife of 45 years, Trena J. (Penrod) Potter; sons, Albert III “Little Bud;” and Jason Potter (Anna); grandchildren, Isabella, Briawna, Kayden, Ellie Mae, and Mason; siblings, Shirley Luckenbaugh (Ed), Pamela Webb, Richard (Joyce), Joan Smay (Mark), Michael, and Paul (Robin); mother-in-law, Rowena Penrod; and other beloved family and friends.
Bud retired from the Conemaugh Township School District’s maintenance department. From antique, to classic, to vintage cars; Bud saw beauty where others saw rust and age. His garages, barns, and driveways weren’t cluttered. They are collections of history and pride. He enjoyed gatherings like Parts O Rama and swap meets in Carlisle, Butler, and Canfield. Places where handshakes meant something, where conversations started with car parts and ended with friendship. He leaves behind more than restored cars and well-worn tools. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion and craftsmanship. He will be remembered every time an engine turns over and at every family gathering. He showed us that a good life is built with loyalty, love, and a little grease on your hands.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Randy Landman, presiding.
