WILSON – Virginia Fern “Ginny,” 92, Summerhill, entered into eternal life September 16, 2021, at home surrounded by her beloved family. Wilson, who died April 6, 2008; infant sister, Thelma May; sisters, Ethel Riblett, Hilda Hazlett, and Geraldine Wilson; and brothers, Howard, Joseph, Earl, Glenn, and Harvey Miller.

Ginny often the quieter partner in her union with husband Merle had a knack for having her wishes and opinions heard. Her strong will and dedication was best exemplified in her love of family. Though she lived a modest and humble lifestyle, Ginny loved preparing special meals for family and having her family fill her home with warmth. She took pride in managing and maintaining her home. This attention to detail and preparation often occurred weeks before big events. Known for her delicious Gob cake, Ginny cherished celebrating family reunions, special events, and spending time with loved ones. A connoisseur of ice cream and jellybeans, many precious discussions of memories with families occurred while eating these delicacies. Ginny also had a special place in her heart for her church and relationship with the Lord. In her final weeks she enjoyed “holding church” at her kitchen table surrounded by family, Pastor Tom, and Sherri. She instilled in us that faith in the Lord is the best foundation you can have and being happy and having love fill your being is what truly matters. Her values are our values, her virtue is ours, and evermore, her legacy and memory will live forever.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Olive United Methodist Church, 599 Fairview Avenue, Sidman; Pastor Thomas Moore, presiding.

Interment, Mount Olive Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers and the staff of Interim Hospice for their kindness and support.
