DOLAN – Thomas J., 72, New Germany, passed away at home March 22, 2020, surrounded by family. Born June 13, 1947, in Johnstown, son of James R. Sr. and Macarie R. “Mac” (Gillum) Dolan.

Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Samuel and James Jr., sister, Candace Green, and mother-in-law, Ruth M. (Wirfel) Henry.

Survived by beloved wife of 41 years, Diane M. (Henry) Dolan; father-in-law, James A. Henry; sisters-in-law, Sunday Dolan, Carol Brown, Joann Kapustka, Sharon Pasierb, and Janice Rusin; brother-in-law, James Henry; special goddaughter, Maria Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thom graduated from Triangle Area High School, class of 1966 and was a retired clerk from the US Postal Service. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing cards, and loved travelling with his wife. Thom had a passion for music and played the drums with many bands over the years, including the Forest Hills Community Band. His family and friends will hold dear memories of a loving, kind and generous man who was full of life, laughter and a bit of blarney.

Due to public health concerns visitation will be private to the family. A private Funeral Mass for immediate family will be celebrated on Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany; Father Leon Hont, OSB, Celebrant.

Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.

The family is especially grateful to Dr. Sbeitan and the staff of Conemaugh Cancer Center, and the staff of Windber Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
