BEYER – Shirley R., 86, Sidman, died May 28, 2020 at Windber Hospice. Born February 21, 1934, in Devils Hollow (Ehrenfeld), daughter of Fred A. and Rose (Costlow) Cekella.
Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Susan L. Beyer; and son, Kevin M. Beyer.
Survived by loving husband of 65 years, Edward R. Beyer, whom she married June 17, 1954; son, Edward F., married to Ida (Wright), Sidman, daughter-in-law, Tammy (Brown) Beyer, Sidman; grandchildren, Justin, married to Marci (Baumgardner), Sidman ; Amanda Beyer, Houston, Texas; Jessica Smith, Summerhill; Josh, married to Shana (Schlosser), Rudyard, Michigan; and Travis, married to Michelle (Wetzel), Elton; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Fred R., married Anne (Dorin), Ashville, North Carolina.
Shirley was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill; and was a graduate of South Fork High School, class of 1951.
Due to public health concerns visitation will be private.
A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Leon Hont, OSB at St. John’s Catholic Church.
Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
