DEFFENBAUGH – Ronald Wayne, 69, formerly of 2nd Street, Nanty Glo, died January 2, 2017, at Cambria Care Center. Born July 15, 1947, in Johnstown, son of Clarence G. and Mildred L. (Miller) Deffenbaugh. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Sara (Wysel) Deffenbaugh, who died September 23, 2013; sisters, LaVerne F. Rager, Shirley Sibert and Nancy L. Smith; and nephew, Harry H. Deffenbaugh, Jr. Survived by siblings, Clarence M., married to Diane Scott; Harry H., Sr., married to Nancy J. Stewart; Maxine D., wife of James Hartman; Rosella R. Dulick; Joseph Piper, married to Janel Mauk; Janet Piper; Jack D. Martin, married to Darlene Fowler; and Larry P. Deffenbaugh, married to Janice Kelly; brother-in-law, Glenn Wysel; special niece Billie Jo; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews. Ron attended Portage Occupation Preparation School and then graduated from Nanty Glo-Vintondale High School in 1966. Ron enjoyed fishing, model cars, Pirates baseball, music and spending time with his pets. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon Thursday at Charles O.
