Robert R. Steele Sr.

STEELE – Robert R. Sr., 71, South Fork, died September 19, 2017, at home. Born November 4, 1945, in South Fork, son of George and Lillian (Arnold) Steele. Preceded in death by parents; former wife, Judith Ann (Armold) Steele, and sisters, Sandra Drass and Betty Jane Black.

Survived by son, Robert R. Jr. “Rusty,” engaged to Melody James, South Fork; granddaughters, Corrine and Lillian Steele; brother, George (Elaine); and sister, Wilma Smay.

Bob was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School, retired foreman for Claster’s Lumber, Huntingdon; and a member of Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Post 551, South Fork. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, scrapping for metal, being in the outdoors and spending time with his granddaughters.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. until time of memorial service at 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Rev. Dan Johnson officiating.
