Prudence A. Rulli

February 7, 1920 - November 23, 2021

RULLI – Prudence A., 101, born February 7, 1920, in South Fork. Entered into eternal life November 23, 2021. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Antonia (Aliquo) Cannone; brothers, Samuel and Anthony; sisters, Katherine Aveni, Virginia Campagna, Josephine Genovese, and Dominica “Mickey” Gramling; and beloved husband, Dominick, whom she married June 18th, 1949. Survived by son, Joseph, Summerhill; and several nieces, nephews, and godchildren all whom she loved as if they were her own sons and daughters. A 1937 graduate of South Fork High School, Prudy held several jobs as a bookkeeper and bank teller in Johnstown as well as Detroit and Philadelphia. Also, a graduate from the Hammond Beauty School, she ran her own hair salon business for several years. In 1982 she volunteered her time to assist her son during the construction of the pipe organ at St. Michael Church and also helped with the intricate wiring on other pipe organ projects including the new organ for St. David’s Lutheran Church in Davidsville and the most recent installation in 2020 at Most Holy Trinity in South Fork. Prudy was known for her generosity and caring spirit and tirelessly cared for her husband, the love of her life, as he battled Parkinson’s until the time of his death November 6, 1998. Following his death, her vocation was being a devoted visitor to many friends and relatives who were ill or living in nursing homes. Friends will be received at Most Holy Trinity Church, South Fork; from 10 a.m. until the time of the solemn funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021; with dinner to follow. Fr. Joseph Nale, pastor of Most Holy Trinity Church, South Fork; and Fr. Ananias Buccione, OSB, pastor of Queen of Peace parish, Patton; concelebrants. Private committal at Grandview Cemetery will be held at a later time. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
