Mary Joann Davis

DAVIS – Mary Joann, 82, Summerhill, died August 23, 2020, at home, surrounded by loving family. Born November 13, 1937, in Summerhill, daughter of Joseph Jarvie and Anna Romaine (Hampson) Jarvie-Keeney. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Thomas and James R. “Bob” Jarvie.

Survived by children Diane, wife of Joseph Poborsky, Sidman; Cynthia, wife of David Sanders, Summerhill; Richard Scott, married to Linda (Arnold), Somerset; Robert, married to Cindy (Shearman), Summerhill; Susan, wife of Larry Barnouski, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Catherine, wife of Jerry Miller, Homer City; Christine, wife of Eric Botteicher, South Fork; and Barbara, wife of Danny Fye, Sidman; eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, John J. Jarvie, Boonsboro, Maryland; and George Jarvie, South Fork; and sister-in-law, Violet (Hebden) Jarvie, Mineral Point.

Mary was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Summerhill; and was a retired RN from Mercy Hospital. We will forever remember her as a loving and devoted mother, who had a kind and generous spirit; and was always willing to help others.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Father Leon Hont, OSB, Celebrant.
