YATSKY – Karen K., 65, South Fork, died November 4, 2021, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born November 15, 1955, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Walter R. “Tim” and Delores J. (Horrell) Killinger.

Survived by loving husband of 45 years, Francis “Dan” Yatsky, whom she married February 28, 1976; children, Dan Yatsky; Melinda, wife of Jarrot Thomas, both of South Fork; and Tim Yatsky and companion, Sabrina Shupe, Johnstown; grandchildren, Connor, Duncan, Thaddeus, and Lyddia Thomas; and Julian and Dorian Yatsky; siblings, William “Killer,” married to Liz (Anderson) Killinger, Portage; Susan, wife of H. Paul Yatsky, South Fork; David “Flame” Killinger, South Fork; Thomas “Mouse,” married to Donna (Wilson) Killinger, Ehrenfeld; and Sally Killinger and companion, Dan Fabo, Summerhill.

Karen was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 1974. She was familiar face for many years behind the counter of the Pit Stop and its predecessors, Kick’s and Sherer’s Service Station. She was known for her creativity and beautifully hand-crafted gifts. Her kind spirit and loving nature was evident in her gentle dedication to her beloved grandchildren.

Private family visitation.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
