FABO – John James “Jim,” 89, Mineral Point, died September 7, 2020, at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born July 31, 1931, in Johnstown, son of John C. and Mary Agnes (Balazik) Fabo.
Preceded in death by parents; son-in-law, John Alexander; brothers, Charles and Robert; and sisters, Mary Jane Kozich and Charlotte Croyle.
Survived by children, Beth Fabo, Indiana; Tony Fabo, Mineral Point; Mark Fabo, Summerhill; Kathleen Alexander, Mineral Point; and Daniel and companion, Sally Killinger, Summerhill; grandchildren, Nicole (Jared), Danny (Erica), Meagan (Tim), Jonathan (Brittani), Samantha (Dave), and Chelsea (Jeremy); ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Balog, Stratford, New Jersey; and Sister Concetta Fabo, The Sisters of St. Francis, Syracuse, New York; special niece, Angie Krestar; and numerous other beloved family and friends.
Jim was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Summerhill; and was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for the Ebensburg Center.
Visitation will be private.
A public Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Father Leon Hont, OSB, Celebrant.
Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
