Helen T. McClemens

October 1, 1931 - June 7, 2020

McCLEMENS – Helen T., 88, Sidman, died June 7, 2020, at home surrounded by loving family. Born October 1, 1931, in Johnstown, she was the last surviving child of William and Marie (Burger) Diamond. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Arthur G. McClemens, who died August 30, 2002; infant daughter, Debbie; daughter, Cheryl Foster, son, Terry McClemens; granddaughter, Korey (McClemens) Welsh; sisters, Pauline Dalton, Alice Smith, Geraldine Cummings, Mary Plasay, Margaret Krestar, Arleen Diamond, and Eileen Aanrud; brothers, William and Gerald Diamond; and son-in-law, Marc Foster. Survived by son, Gary, married to Jean (Hiteshew), Sidman; Mary, wife of William Brunnet, Portage; and Sally, wife of Joseph Logue, St. Michael; daughter-in-law, Kathleen (Varney) McClemens, Sidman; beloved grandchildren, Jason, Heidi, Terry Jr., Bonnie, Brian, Brittany, Joshua, Michael, Christopher, Brandon, Nathan, Alexis, Jacob, and Dominic; and fifteen cherished great-grandchildren. Graduate of Adams Township High School, class of 1949. Member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Helen helped her husband with the family sawmill and worked for the United States Postal Service. She loved spending time with family and friends. Family reunions at the “Mill” were always special because of her loving hospitality and amazing efforts to prepare wonderful meals. Honoring her wishes their will be no visitation. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church. Committal, St. James Cemetery. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. In lieu of flowers please make donations in honor of Helen’s memory to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber PA 15963.
