BENTON – Duane Rush, 70, Summerhill, died December 14, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 21, 1950, in Johnstown; son of Harold E. and Violet G. (Mock) Benton.
Preceded in death by parents; infant brother, Neal; sisters, Sharon Brown, Carol J. Plummer, and Sandra Benton; brothers, Jack and Robert Benton; and cherished dog, Tink; and special cat, Bubby.
Survived by loving wife, Charlene E. (Oswalt) Benton, Summerhill; beloved granddaughter, Susan Handel; sisters, Bonnie Smolko (Denny) and Linda Turgeon; daughter, Tina; one grandson; and two great-grandsons.
Duane was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1968 and from Cambria Rowe in 1970. Duane worked as an aide at the Ebensburg Center for 39 years. He was an avid Steelers fan and especially loved his dogs, Chloe, Diamond, Roxie, Sid, and Ice.
Honoring his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
