Dorothy Jean Fiffick

September 5, 1933 - October 23, 2021

FIFFICK – Dorothy Jean, 88, Johnstown, passed peacefully at her daughter’s home, surrounded by love, October 23, 2021. Born September 5, 1933, in Windber. Preceded in death by parents, Agnes (Blozevich) and stepfather, Steve Kentes; beloved husband, Edward B. Fiffick, who died June 7, 2006; grandson, Eric Frederick; and brother, John Petrunak. Survived by children, Edward Jr. and friend Natalia Robalik, Dallas, Texas; Kathleen, married to John Frederick Sr., Hollsopple; Steven A., Blairsville; James B., married to Tammy (Chuma), Southmont; and Lori A., wife of Roger R. Griffith, Johnstown; sister-in-law, Joyce Petrunak, Cleveland, Ohio; cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Evan, Allison (Aaron), Eli (Tara), John (Amber), Georgetta, Annie, Gabriel, Heather (Adam), Amanda (Jared), and Lyndsey; great-grandchildren, Juliah, Michael, Bradley, Elissa, Carla, Kaylee, Lorin, and Gabe; and great great-grandchildren, Noah, Jacob, Brayden, Ella, Lilly, Logan, Vera, Leon, and Owen. Jean was a graduate of Adams Township High School, class of 1951. Attended St. David’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Davidsville. Member of 1889 South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club Historical Preservation Society, and American Legion Auxiliary Post 551, St. Michael. She was a gifted gardener who could make any plant or flower grow. She enjoyed gathering with family to share the wonderful meals she so lovingly prepared. Animals always held a special place in her heart, especially her pet dogs. And we all learned quickly not block the television or speak over the announcers when her beloved Steelers were on. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. David’s Lutheran Church, 401 N Main St, Davidsville, Pastor Farron Johnson, presiding. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown. The family is especially grateful to the dedicated caregivers at Senior Life for their many years of kindness, care, and support.
