Dennis C. Jones

JONES – Dennis C. “ Denny”, 89, Summerhill, died October 12, 2017 at Richland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Born June 9, 1928, in Summerhill, son of William P. and Rosanna (Plummer) Jones.
Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Mary Jean Jones and Claire Lysinger and husband, Arthur; and brother, Vernon and wife, Jane.
Survived by sisters, Arleen, wife of the late William Batzel and Georgia, wife of the late John Farabaugh; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Dennis was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Penn Dot after many years as a truck driver.
He was a graduate of South Fork High School and a life time member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Summerhill.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church by Fr. Leon Hont, OSB. Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Germany.
