David P. Hill

HILL – David P., 61, Mineral Point, died unexpectedly May 30, 2016 at Home. Born Dec. 28, 1954 in Colver, son of August W. Jr. and Monabelle (Collobert) Hill.

Preceded in death by parents and sister, Judith Parker.

Survived by loving wife of almost 40 years, Dorothy (Sanderson) Hill, whom he married Oct. 28, 1976; daughters, Rebecca Hill – Howard, Ebensburg; and Nicole Hill, and partner, Dave Thompson, Mineral Point; beloved granddaughter, Eleanor Howard; sister, Jill M.(Robert) Hill, V.M.D., Loretto; and numerous nieces, nephews and other wonderful family and friends.

Dave was a graduate of Central Cambria High School, Class of 1973 and former member of 4H and Future Farmers of America. He was a diesel mechanic and ran “Dave’s Shop,” Mineral Point, for more than 25 years. He spent much of his time working in his garage and on the farm he loved.

Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Honoring his wishes there will be no funeral service. His memory will live on in the lives of those he touched.
